Washington County Community Foundation Allocations & Programs Coordinator Amy Shope recently accepted a $20,000 contribution to the ESO Fund from Dollar Bank Vice President, Treasury Management Joe Stromei. |
The ESO Fund awards scholarships to needy families for non-public kindergarten through grade 12 programs via the Commonwealth’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit program. To date, the WCCF has awarded more than $362,000 in ESO Fund scholarships to students from needy families.
“Since education is the keystone to a successful future, Dollar Bank takes great pride in helping to make private school accessible for financially needy children in Washington County through our relationship with the WCCF. It was a privilege to meet some of the students who have benefitted from Dollar Bank’s support in the past, and I hope to be able to personally present the scholarships from our most recent ESO Fund contribution to this year’s recipients,” Stromei stated.
Established in 1855, Dollar Bank is a full-service regional bank with more than 60 branches, loan centers, and private banking offices serving individuals and businesses throughout Pittsburgh and Cleveland. It currently holds assets of $7 billion. Cumulatively, Dollar Bank has given $45,000 to the WCCF in support of its education programs.
