A very popular and unique way to see Santa will begin on Friday, November 27.

The Santa Trolley

During Santa Trolley, children take a trolley ride with Santa and make sure that he has their Christmas list, while parents and grandparents enjoy caroling and the scenic view from a beautifully restored vintage streetcar. Santa Trolley dates are November 27-29, December 5-6 and December 12-13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last trolley with Santa leaves at 4 pm).

Bring your camera to take your child’s photo with Santa! Also, take a ride on the Yuletide Shuttle and then enjoy a cup of complimentary hot chocolate and snacks. Children also get to make a craft for more holiday fun!

After taking a ride with Santa, check out our large Lionel toy train layout, featuring O scale trains and trolleys and a large LEGO layout built by Steel City Lug, Pittsburgh Area’s Adult LEGO User Group. Admission is just $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (62+) and $8 for children ages 1-15; children under 1 are free. Admission includes trolley rides and exhibits. Please note that seating is limited and purchasing advanced reserved tickets are encouraged. They can be purchased on-line through our www.patrolley.org website beginning Sunday November 1. Tickets will be available for purchase 30 days before the date you want to attend.

Trolleys and Toy Trains will be held on Friday, December 4 and 11 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Come ride our festive trolleys that are decorated for the season, then come and experience our beautiful multi-leveled Lionel toy train layout featuring many running trains and trolleys in our Visitor Education Center. Admission is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors (62+) and $6 for children ages 3-15; children under 3 are free. Admission includes trolley rides and exhibits. Note: The final public day for 2015 is Sunday December 13, after which we will be closed until Friday March 18, 2016.

The museum is pleased to again participate in the “Toys for Tots” campaign. Bring an unwrapped toy with a minimum value of $10 and receive $5 gift certificate to the Museum Store (limit one per family while visiting Santa Trolley or Trolleys & Toy Trains). Toys will be accepted through Sunday December 13.

Directions: Take I-79 to exit 41, Race Track Road, or take US Route 19 to Race Track Road. Left at Pike Street and then follow trolley museum signs approximately 3 miles to the museum. For information call 724-228-9256 or visit the Museum’s website at www.patrolley.org.
