District X of the Garden Club Federation of PA held its Annual Meeting on Friday September 25, 2015 at the South Hills Country Club in Pittsburgh, PA.

Clubs that comprise District X include Charleroi Garden Club; Garden Club of Munhall; Green Gardeners (Uniontown); Giant Oaks Garden Club (McMurray); Mon Valley

Garden Club (California/Coal Center); Pleasant Hills Garden Club; Town and Country Garden Club of Rices Landing; Uniontown Flower Club; and Valley Garden Club (Belle Vernon).

Following a formal dinner, each club’s president gave a summary of their year’s activities and awards for accomplishments were presented. The Tribune Review's Doug Oster spoke with a presentation titled ‘Easy- to-Grow Perennial Gardens’ of which just any gardener should be able to grow easily and well.

Pleasant Hills Garden Club is celebrating its 75th Anniversary and was presented with a cake honoring the occasion, which was enjoyed by all for dessert. The event ended with the awarding of the 50-50 and raffle basket winnings.
