Rotary clubs are known worldwide for bringing together leaders who step forward to take on some of the toughest challenges in their communities. The members of the Monessen/Rostraver Rotary recently stepped forward to support a community cause that has touched practically every life in the Mon Valley – breast cancer.
Rotary donates to Cancer Walk |
Each Rotarian donated funds so that the Monessen/Rostraver club could serve as a major sponsor of the 12th Annual MVH/Lois Orange Ducoeur Breast Cancer Walk.
The event, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m., begins at the Market House in Charleroi. The one- or two-mile fun walk supports the prevention, early detection and treatment of breast cancer in the community at MVH.
There is still time to donate and/or register for the walk. For more information, visit www.monvalleyhospital.com/fund_development/index or call 724-258-1657.
