To observe National Cancer Survivors Day on Sunday, June 7, Monongahela Valley Hospital invites all cancer survivors and their families to attend a free Cancer Survivors Picnic celebration from 1 – 4 p.m. that day at the hospital's Carroll Twp. campus.

All cancer survivors are welcome – even individuals who received cancer care at other facilities. The day will celebrate survivors, inspire those recently diagnosed, encourage survivors' families and remember those who lost their battles with cancer.

The day will feature free picnic fare, live performances by the Granati Brothers, T-shirts for survivors, door prizes, games, a survivors' wall for signatures, drawings and memories; a prayer for survivors, a memorial for lost loved ones, and an opportunity for survivors to record their stories on video.

The event will be held rain or shine and reservations are required by calling 724-258-1333. Survivors must register by May 18 to receive their free T-shirt. All other reservations are due before June 2.
