Lawrence Gallant, local pre-historian, explorer and author, will deliver a Power Point presentation at the April meeting of the Peters Creek Historical Society.
The title of the talk will be "Mysteries of Local History" and will focus on both mysterious copper plates that were found on the faces of two skeletons in Clairton and the finding of giant skeletons in Finleyville and surrounding areas.
If time allows, we may also touch upon the riddles of ancient humanity, possible extraterrestrial intervention and our place as spiritual beings in the cosmic scheme. It will definitely be a controversial talk and a challenge for those with rigid belief systems to think outside of their comfort levels.
The program will take place at the Wright Methodist Church meeting room at 785 Venetia Road on Monday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited and attendance is free.
