State Rep. Peter J. Daley II, D-Fayette/Washington, is alerting residents to free help with state programs and applications available during December. A staff member will be at the Center on the Hill, 100 Summit Road in Belle Vernon, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, to help with any state-related concern.

The monthly outreach supplements the constituent services available Monday - Friday at Daley's main office at 657 McKean Ave. in Donora and his California office at the Center in the Woods, 130 Woodland Court in Brownsville.

The income guidelines for applying are $35,000 a year for homeowners and $15,000 a year for renters, with half of Social Security – and now Social Security COLAs – excluded.

"No appointments are needed," Daley said. "Staff members can help with any state program, including heating assistance."

More information about any state-related program or service is available by calling Daley's Donora office toll free at 1-800-467-9486.
