Monessen Volunteer Fire Department #1 Auxiliary put together an outstanding annual craft and vendor show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on November 15 at the Fireman's Social Hall at Eastgate 15 in Monessen.

Craft1
Amanda Arnold, with the auxiliary, and Karen Marinos, secretary of Monessen VFD #1 Auxiliary, and Karen's grandson, Cooper Marinos, all were busy working at the craft show.

Karen Marinos, secretary of Monessen VFD #1 Auxiliary, organized the event, along with the auxiliary. She says, besides the fact that she holds the event every year, "I did it to get everyone in the holiday spirit and to get them shopping."

A wide assortment of craft vendors was available for eager shoppers. Everyone with the auxiliary did an excellent job of bringing the vendors together.

One crafter, Elaine Ondrish, with Lucky Girl Candles, sold soy candles with rings inside valued up to $5,000. She commented, "I love candles. I always have them burning in my home."

Shannon Koch presented Jamberry nails, a unique way to manicure nails that last up to two weeks. The nail wraps are stylish and inexpensive.

Ashley James from Greensburg was available selling sweets and there to raise awareness for epilepsy. One way to help out is to donate or sign up to be an advocate. For more information, you may visit the website at www.efwp.org.

Along with a big raffle, the kitchen was open with food including haluski, hot dogs, walking tacos, pizza, coffee or tea, and hot chocolate.

All in all, the crafts and vendor show for 2014, was a well-organized success! All proceeds benefit Monessen VFD #1 Auxiliary. Thanks to all who participated!
