The scary, the cute, and the original came out to participate in the Monessen Parade at 7 p.m. on October 23, which ended on Donner Ave.

Halloween1
Gemma Ferguson, Dixie Ferguson and Morgan Calderone, with Shannon Motycki (back row), enjoyed the parade in Monessen

Castle Blood took pleasure in organizing the event, and the community participated in it enthusiastically. The big crowd waited with anticipation for the first police cars to drive past and the parade to begin.

Trophies were awarded to those in the parade whom judges liked best, and marchers had a diverse array of costumes. The children especially liked catching candy from the trucks. It was great for the city that so many people attended the event, and hopefully just as many will join in on the next Monessen community festivity.
