You can help girls in Kenya afflicted by AIDS, provide scholarships to high school seniors, give dictionaries to 3rd graders, and do so much more simply by eating really good food. Just purchase a ticket to the annual spaghetti dinner sponsored by the Rotary Club of Bethel Park.
Local and international charities supported include Dictionaries for Third Graders, Angel's Place, Homeless Veterans, Washington City Mission, Polio Eradication, SHIM, providing scholarships for local high school students and supporting local police food drives.
This year's dinner is October 11 from 2 - 7 p.m. at the Bethel Park Community Center, 5151 Park Ave. Eat in or pick up at the drive-through for great food from Pasta Too and Bethel Bakery.
Costs for full meal tickets, including dessert, are: adults $10, seniors $8, children $4. Businesses can also order deliveries for their employees (8 minimum) to be delivered between noon and 1:30 p.m. Call 412-855-4633 to place orders.
There is also a raffle with a prize of $1,000 and a silent auction with many great prizes. Giant Eagle is also offering flu shots from 2-7 p.m. at the dinner.
