"Inspirations" is the theme for the 2014-2015 year of the Catholic Women's College Club. The first meeting was held 6 p.m. on September 8 at the Epiphany Chapel meeting room in Monessen.

President Lenni Nedley welcomed the members to a picnic buffet catered by 2 Fine Caterers of Speers. Dorothy Jozwiak gave the blessing of food and also said a prayer for the Club, which is celebrating 74 years of inspirations shared by members.

Tables were set with lime green coverings and decorated with centerpieces of zinnias and fall leaves in mason jars designed by Vice President Lisa Foglia. Foglia explained the club's new booklet for the year and focused on September's theme: "Inspired to Remember." The officers who served as the September committee included: Lenni Nedley, Lisa Foglia, Jo Anna Stroh, and Sally Keeney. Members spent some time looking over past scrapbooks of the club and reminiscing about the activities that have been accomplished over the years. Foglia then presented President Nedley with her scrapbook highlighting the events of the past year.

The business portion of the meeting was called to order. In continuing with recognizing St. Francis of Assisi from the past year, all members recited the prayer in his honor. President Nedley acknowledged September 8 as the birthday of our Blessed Mother. She read a tribute and encouraged the members to imitate her examples. The roll was called by Foglia. Secretary Jo Anna Stroh read the minutes, treasurer Sally Keeney gave the financial report, and both were approved. Committee reports were given.

The next meeting of the CWCC will be held 6 p.m. October 6 at the Mon Valley Care Center on Stoops Drive. Members were reminded to bring gifts for bingo prizes for residents at the Center. The meeting was adjourned and closed with "A Prayer for Inspiration."
