The MVRCC held its second annual "Mon Valley's Got Talent" competition on Saturday, August 9 at the Stockdale Fire Department Social Hall. Jamie Protin, Chamber Board Member served as emcee, and DJ Jerry Jericho provided music and also sound for the talent.

Talent Show - Daughtery
Winner Kristin Daugherty with Chamber President Armand Ferrara. Daugherty performed a stirring rendition of the classic favorite "At Last."

Judges for the event were Magistrates Larry Hopkins, Josh Kanalis, Charles Christner, Joseph Dalfonso and Jesse Cramer and Mayor John Mollenauer. The judges offered commentary after each performance, however the audience voted by ballot for the final winner.

Other performers were:

  • Tom Villella, Villella Remodeling - Comedy and Dance
  • Anova Home Health - Nainesh and Jayna Desai, Kripa Venkatakrishnan, and Josh Butler performed dance called Raas-Garba.
  • Bill Lee - vocal performance of "God Bless America"
  • Dancin’ Divas - a dance medley performed by staff and friends of Dr. Gosai and Gandhi
  • Kristin Daugherty - Coldwell Banker - vocal performance
  • Brianna Brickner - PaCareerLink Mon Valley - vocal performance
  • Mallory Santoro - Solo dance performance for OSPTA

Sponsored by Drs. Gosai and Gandhi, "Mon Valley's Got Talent" was created and coordinated by Lori Spina, CEO of Southwest Medical and Chamber Board Member, as a fund raiser for Chamber programs.

"The response by the community in the way of attendance and sponsorship was amazing," said Deb Keefer, Chamber Director. "A huge thank you goes out to Lori, and to all of those who sponsored us, donated to the Chinese auction, and especially to the many talented folks who made it a night to remember."
