Join us for a special trip on the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail system on Sunday, October 5 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. to celebrate Port Authority's 50th Anniversary. March 1, 1964 was the start of Port Authority transit operations in and around Pittsburgh and many improvements have been made since then. This will be the first public fan trip on this system in 15 years!
The trip leaves promptly at 11 a.m. from the South Hills Village PAT Station and will cover all in-service T track and some trackage not in normal operation! Rest stops and photo stops are included, as well as a trip pamphlet. Park at PAT's South Hills Village Garage ($2 fee) 1010-1038 Village Drive at Fort Couch Road, Bethel Park.
Ticket cost is $32.50 with proceeds supporting the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, a nonprofit museum whose mission is to preserve and interpret Pennsylvania's Trolley Era.
