Monessen Veterans Council Presents Tribute to World War II Veterans

United States Marine Corps veterans Mike Yusko (left) and Jack Snyder watch solemnly as the Monessen Veterans Council presents a tribute to the city's living World War II veterans on July 19 at the Herman Mihalich Memorial Boat Launch.

Other veterans honored at the event were John Billy; Frank Biseda; Edmund Daumit; Lee Doman; Sam Fuoco; Clifford Jones; Jack C.F. Kerr; Rosemarie Kerr; Joseph Maiolini; Steve Major; Judge Gilfert Mihalich; Andy Mudron; Anthony Reda; Bernie Reday; Art Trilli; Bea Yakem and Melvin Zubritsky. Another World War II veteran, Pierre Luti, also was to be among those honored, but he passed away two days before the event.
