The Greater Rostraver Chamber of Commerce is pleased to partner with Westmoreland County Parks & Recreation, The Valley Independent and the Westmoreland County Board of Commissioners for August Fun Fest, on Sunday, August 10, 11 a.m. to dusk.
Headlining this year's August Fun Fest is the Black Horse country band, performing classic country hits at the amphitheater from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Taking the stage at 2 p.m., Pittsburgh's premier teen song and dance ensemble The East End Kids will be performing. The East End Kids feature Broadway-style song and dance numbers that will entertain visitors of all ages!
Also featured at August Fun Fest is the world's craziest magician, Steve Haberman. Steve is one of the premier illusionists in the country and has entertained audiences from coast to coast with a unique blend of sleight-of-hand, comedy, mindreading and stunning larger than life illusions. Steve will be performing his unique blend of family oriented magic at noon, 2 and 4 p.m.
The Road Kings Car Club will be back again to host the August Fun Fest Show Car Cruise! The show features all types of cars up to 2014 models and has been highlighted in Hot Rod News magazine. The show continues to grow every year and over 500 cars are expected to attend!
Kids can have fun all day with an all-day ride pass for only $4 and get unlimited access to all carnival rides, pony rides, kiddie train rides and the petting zoo. Other attractions at the festival include an arts and crafts show with over 40 vendors and craftsmen, a flea market, a chainsaw sculptor, bingo, various group demonstrations and a cavalcade of bands that will feature five talented, local musical groups.
August Fun Fest is a Westmoreland County Bureau of Parks and Recreation special event, and is sponsored by West Penn Power, the Greater Rostraver Chamber of Commerce, the Road Kings Car Club, and the Valley Independent.
