Mark your calendars as The Friends of South Park Township Library put their finishing touches on their Annual Fall Book Sale that will be held at the South Park Township Community Center. The book sale will run October 17 - 19.
Times are as follows: Thursday, October 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, the ever-popular “$5.00-A-Bag-Day” from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m..
Your donations are always deeply appreciated and once again Friends ask members, Library patrons, Township residents and our surrounding neighbors for help in collecting books and miscellaneous items to once again achieve another successful sale.
All items can be brought to the South Park Library beginning Monday, September 30th. Until this date please keep donations boxed and in a clean dry area in order that they will be in good saleable condition.
Items needed: All books (hardback, paperback, fiction, non-fiction, children, adult, school, educational, coffee table); old records, albums, books on tape, audio music tapes, CD’s, DVD’s, video tapes, video games, computer and electronic games and programs, games, puzzles, toys and stuffed animals. Games, puzzles and toys should contain all parts and pieces and placed in taped up boxes.
Friends do not accept, small Reader’s Digests, National Geographics, jewelry or flea market/garage sale items. Computer books, programs, discs, business or tax publications, manuals and directories should be no older than 1 year. These items can be recycled from your home on recyclable days or dropped off at your local recyclable bins.
Encyclopedia Sets, no matter what the age, are no longer being accepted for the sales. All proceeds for the Friends book sale benefits the South Park Township Library.
