New Classes Added to Fall 2013 Schedule

Mon Valley Actors & Artists will present “Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr.” on Saturday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 15 at 2:00 p.m. The performances will take place at the Schooner Youth Center and tickets are $10 at the door, with no reserved seating.

The performance will feature MVAA students from Belle Vernon, Monessen, Donora, Monongahela, and Elizabeth. It is the story of Tom a first year teacher, starting his first day with a bit of anxiety. The ensemble cast helps him prepare for the day with memories of the songs that helped him as a student from Schoolhouse Rock. This peppy musical will be an adventure of fun and a walk down memory lane for the audience members of all ages.

MVAA fall classes will begin on Thursday, September 19 with a new feature for 2013. Ms. Lisa Lujetic will be offering three dance classes, Beginners Combo (tap, ballet, jazz) from 5:30-6:30; Hip-Hop (all levels) from 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. and Intermediate Combo (tap, ballet, jazz) from 7:45 -8:30 p.m. The cost will be $15/week for each class.

MVAA acting classes will have registration on Thursday, September 19 with classes to resume on September 26. For more information, call Debi Anderson at 724-684-4034.
