The League of Women Voters of Washington County will kick off the 2013-2014 year with its 17th Awards Reception. The League will recognize three outstanding citizens or community organizations on October 24, 2013.
The Awards Committee is seeking nominations from the Washington County community for individuals or organizations that have made outstanding contributions in any of these three areas: Education, Environment, or Community Service. An award will be presented in each category. During the program, the three awardees will be recognized and commendations from the nominations will be read. The recipients will have the opportunity to make remarks.
Nomination forms can be obtained or received electronically by contacting the Award Chairperson Donna Riggle at driggle84@gmail.com, 724-484-7537, or visiting the League website at washingtoncounty.palwv.org. Please make your nomination electronically or return the form by mail to LWVWC, 30 E. Beau Street, Washington, Room 437, PA 15301 by September 15, 2013. The Awards Committee will review the nominations. The selection of the awardees will be made by the LWVWC Board of Directors. The awardee in each category will be notified and will be announced in the media. The award recipient and a designated coworker or family member will be the guests of the League at the reception.
