Gift Basket Raffle!
Make sure to stop by the library each month to take a chance on our monthly huge gift basket raffle. You never know what might end up in each basket each month. Also take a look at our mini gift baskets offered for sale each month from $4 to $10.00. A great way to help support your locally library.
Mega Book Sale
We will also be hosting our annual Mega Book Sale to benefit the library. Come spend some time with us and get some great deals on some gently used books. We are also currently accepting donations for newer gently used books in nice condition to add to this sale. More info will follow with the time and location of the Mega Book Sale in late August.
Multi-Purpose Room space available
If you would like to book our multipurpose room please contact the library with your group or contact name and we will reserve the space for you. A great location for a book club, card party, or even a craft group.
Speakers and Presenters Wanted!
We always are looking for speakers to speak on various subjects so if you have a talent or wonderful gift give the library a call. The Friends of the West Newton Library are currently accepting members to this lively group. Also we need volunteers to help us look into expanding our hours to serve the public in a greater capacity. If you fit any of these descriptions, we want you and you will have a ball doing it with us. Please give us a call at 724-972-3229.
Upcoming Fundraisers – Donations Needed!
We are accepting donations of vintage or new china, matching cups and saucers to use in an upcoming “Tea Time” fundraiser that we will be hosting in late September. We ask that each piece be in nice condition free from any cracks or chips.
Also, our “Jewelry blow out sale” in June was such a huge success and numerous individuals have asked if we were going to do it again, so we will be collecting for our “2014 Mega Jewelry Sale” starting now. We are in need of new, gently used, vintage, costume, and fine jewelry, as well as new and vintage jewelry boxes.
So if you have a donation of either china cups and saucers or jewelry please feel free to stop by and drop your donation off at the library.
