Downtown West Newton Inc. (DWNI) is continuing to host events throughout the summer and fall months.

Simeral Square Farmer’s Market every Saturday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
 You can look forward to more produce being available as summer continues including corn on the cob, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, watermelon, cantaloupe, apples, and peaches. We also have vendors offering baked goods and fudge available. Stop by to check it out! We also continue to be interested in vendors for our market in order to offer a diverse range of products. Community Picnic Set for July 27
DWNI would like to invite everyone to come and join us at Community Picnic on Saturday, July 27. The picnic will run from 4 to 8 pm and will take place at the Chuckwagon located on South 2nd Street in West Newton. There will be outdoor seating in the Excela Health parking lot next to the Chuckwagon. The delicious menu will consist of BBQ chicken, short ribs, hotdogs, corn, parsley potatoes, coleslaw, bread, dessert, and drinks. Tickets just cost only $12 for adults and $6 for children 10 and under. We will have games for kids, card games for adults, and music. The event will take place rain or shine. We will also have indoor seating for those seeking a cool area to dine. Take out will also be available. You can purchase tickets for this event at the Chuckwagon through the month of July as well as contacting the DWNI office at 724-872-0100. Get your tickets early out last picnic was a sellout. We will have limited tickets available at the door.

Car Cruise on July 27
DWNI will be hosting our 3rd Annual July Car Cruise on Saturday, July 27 from 11 am to 4 pm. The event will take place at Vine Street Park located at 501 Vine St. Vehicle registration starts at 11:00 am, cruise time is 12 Noon to 4 pm. Entry fee is $5.00 and you are required to register in a class. We will have dash plaques for our first 50 registrants and 20 trophies with People's Choice vote (1 per entrant). We will have Doo Wop DJ Glen Raymer from 770 KFB playing hits from the 50's, 60's, 70's, plus food and 50 / 50 and much, much more. So grab your bike, car, truck, muscle car, street rods and model T's and head on over to Vine Street Park. Any questions please give our office a call and ask for Barb 724-872-0100. All proceeds raised will help support West Newton Community activities.

"Miracle On Main Street" Holiday Planning Underway
Downtown West Newton Inc. is ready to announce its theme for its 2013 Miracle On Main Street. This year's theme is "A Starry Night". To kick of our annual festival that will take place the Saturday after Thanksgiving, DWNI will be taking orders for our Commemorative Sweat Shirt. The sweat shirt comes in a midnight black with the DWNI logo and a trail of stars draping across the front in silver. The sweat shirts are 50% cotton and 50% polyester and are preshrunk. You may order Adult Sizes only in S, M, L, XL and the cost is just $20 plus shipping if you would like them mailed out to you. Please note shipping costs vary based on your location. They will also be available for pick up at our office. All proceeds from their sale go to support DWNI activities.

Craft and Food Vendors Welcome!
We are currently accepting application for our craft and vendor spots for Miracle on Main Street. We also are looking for any new food vendors who would like to fill the requests of our patrons. We are in the need for a Kettle Corn, Gyro, and Hot Sausage Vendors. Our show does not permit duplication of major items. Please give our office a call at 724-872-0100 to place an order for a sweat shirts or reserve a spot for our festival. We normally get around 1,200 or more visitors to our festival depending on the weather. A great family event to kick off the Christmas season.
