The Summer Reading Program is back at the West Newton Public Library this summer. The program starts on Wednesday, June 5 at 10:00 am and runs every Wednesday until July 17. The program will be held at the Lion's Field House located at 507 Pittsburgh St. in West Newton. The event is free for children age 3 through 10. Please call the West Newton Library at 724-972-3229 to book which Wednesday you would like to attend. This year's summer reading program is brought to you by Girl Scout Troop 54024.

Calling all jewelry and book lovers! Make sure come out to our mega jewelry sale on Saturday, June 1 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. We will be offering close to 1,000 pieces for jewelry for sale that day! We have a nice selection of vintage, modern, sterling silver, pearls, and costume jewelry that includes necklaces, pins & broaches, bracelets, pierced and clip earrings, watches and even jewelry boxes. Don't miss the used book sale as well. The event will be held either rain or shine. All proceeds from the sale benefit the Friends of the West Newton Library.
