Plans have been finalized for Charleroi’s Annual Community Day and Fireworks Celebration on July 3. The event will be expanded this year to include a “Salute to First Responders Parade”, children’s area, and all-day music.

The J.K. Tener Library will operate a children’s area in the Market House from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM complete with a bounce house, face painting, magic show, crafts and kids fun! Kids can also decorate their bikes in a patriotic theme and ride in the parade. The area will also feature cotton candy, snow cones and library card sign-up.
Magic City Square will showcase entertainment for the entire day and into the evening. A luncheon concert will start the day featuring Blue Light Studio and Nashville recording artists “The Hobbs Sisters” from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM. The polka band “Mon Valley Push” will be on stage from 3:00 - 6:00 PM. The annual appearance by the Mon Valley Superstars and local dancers will be from 6:30 - 7:30 PM. The live music will wrap up with an appearance by the area’s hottest country band “Saddle Up” from 7:30 until 9:45 PM.
“Car Cruise” areas will be reserved from 7:00 until 9:30 PM in 3 Downtown Parking Lots and on 5th Street. Car Clubs who would like to reserve a lot can contact the Borough at 724-483-6011.
Fireworks will take place at 9:45 PM by VFI Fireworks Inc. followed by a Beach Party complete with sand and water from 10:00 until 11:00 PM
Food booths will be available along Bosson Way in the Chamber Plaza. Non-profit groups from within Charleroi Area School District wishing to operate food booths are being offered free space. Commercial vendor space is also available.
