The Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB) recently announced the recipients of the Association’s prestigious service awards. Charleroi Borough Council President Mark Alterici was among the group honored at PSAB’s 102nd Annual Conference, which was held in Hershey.

Mark Alterici, Council Member of Charleroi Borough received a Thomas F. Chrostwaite Award for 20 years of service to the borough. Initiated in 1956, the Thomas F. Chrostwaite Award is given annually to promote interest in borough government and to recognize faithful and effective service by borough officials. Named in honor of the founder and first president of the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs, this award is given to mayors, council members, secretaries, managers and treasurers who have completed 20 or more years of borough service.
