Monessen Public Library & Cultural Center will welcome retired Air Force Chief Master Sgt. John L. Haigh, Sr. as a special guest speaker on Saturday, June 1 at 1:00 pm.
Haigh witnessed world history in his thirty year military career. He served as chief steward for U.S. Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush, as well as part of Jimmy Carter’s Air Force One crew. In his service to the presidency, he logged almost 10,000 hours and traveled to Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In his capacity as chief steward, Haigh served the nation’s leaders, first families, world leaders and celebrities. He will speak on the historic figures he encountered and answer audience questions during his talk.
