Franklin Elementary School and Bethel Park High School are working together to sponsor a Spaghetti Fundraiser Dinner for two current students who recently have had to deal with a terrible loss.
Katelyn Parker, a Franklin fourth grade student and her brother, Tyler, a junior at BPHS, lost both of their parents in the last year and a half. The students lost their father in 2011 in a tragic accident and recently lost their mother, unexpectedly after Christmas.
The Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser will take place on Sunday, May 5 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM in the BPHS cafeteria. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets may be purchased at any Bethel Park elementary, middle or high school office. The meal includes pasta, meatballs, salad, rolls, butter and beverages. Desserts may be purchased at the Bake Sale table. There will be a Chinese Auction and the BPHS National Honor Society is coordinating this. They are looking for donations for the baskets, particularly sports tickets. If you have an item, tickets, or a basket you would like to donate, please contact Tom Ernst at 412-584-7255. Additionally, you can purchase a black and orange Swarovski crystal bracelet for $15 at the dinner or in any of the school offices. Please come out and support the Parker children. All proceeds from this event and the bracelets will go to the Parker Family.
Everyone in the community and surrounding areas are invited to attend. If you are unable to attend but would like to make a donation, you can do so by sending it to: PNC; 2777 South Park Road; Bethel Park, PA 15102. Checks are payable to either Tyler or Katelyn Parker. If you have questions, please contact Lynne Pieczynski at 412-854-8571 or Judy Daley at 412-854-8584. Thank you for your help!
