Board Meeting
The Board of Trustees of the Bentleyville Public Library will meet at the library Thursday May 2 at 7:00 pm. Library issues will be discussed and the public is invited to attend.

Closed Memorial Day
The Bentleyville Public Library will be closed Memorial Day, Monday May 27.

"One Book, Every Young Child" Program
The Bentleyville Public Library will celebrate Pennsylvania’s One Book Every Young Child Campaign with a special Story Time! Thursday, May 15 at 5:30 pm, the Bentleyville Public Library will participate in the 8th annual One Book, Every Young Child statewide early learning initiative, to highlight both the importance of early literacy development in preschoolers, ages 3-6 years and specifically the vital role that adults have fostering that development. This year’s book selection is the picture book, The Bus for Us written and illustrated by Suzanne Bloom. Families are invited to register for an evening of stories and fun. Each child will receive a free copy of the book while supplies last. Register at 724-239-5122.

Gardening Tips
The Bentworth Seed Lending Library will present a program Tuesday May 7 at 6:00 pm at the Bentleyville Public Library. The program will provide information on planting your garden and answer any questions about gardening problems. Register at 724-239-5122.

Book Club
The Bentleyville Public Library Book Club will meet at the library on Thursday May 16 at 6:00 pm. The book to be discussed will be Distant Hours by Kate Morton. To reserve a copy of the book please call the library at 724-239-5122.

Summer Reading Program
Registration is beginning at the Bentleyville Public Library for our fantastic summer reading programs. All ages will have a program in which they can participate.
• 0-? Years - Virtual Book Club Program
• Ages 3-6 - Dig Into Reading (Dinosaurs!) - Mondays at 11:00 am and Wednesdays at 5:00 pm
• Ages 7-11 - Beneath the Surface meet on Wednesdays at 2:00 pm or Thursdays at 5:00 pm.
• Ages 12+ will participate in a Hobbit Book Club.

All programs begin the week of June 10th. Adults will participate in a book club based on a Quilts of the Underground Railroad book. Pennsylvania Humanities Speaker Casandra Gunkle will appear at the library June 18 to present a program on that subject. And a new online reading program for kids, Questyinz!
