Book Club
The Monongahela Area Library’s book club, Book Bites, will meet over coffee, tea and light refreshments on Thursday, May 16 at 1 p.m. to discuss “State of Wonder” by Ann Patchett. The group is just forming and new members from anywhere in the area are invited to join.
Book Donations Needed for Fleatique
The library will be accepting donations of gently used books in May for the June 1 Fleatique Book Sale to be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the first Saturday in June.
Storytime
The library hosts Storytime each Wednesday at 11 a.m. for children 30 months through 5 years. The spring session will end on May 8, but registration for the summer session is available. For more info, call 724-258-5409.
Children's Book Week
The Monongahela Area Library will celebrate Children’s Book Week on Saturday with a “Draw a Dragon Day” on Saturday, May 18. A community of dragons will be drawn to fill the windows of the library. The winner of the “Raise a Reader Raffle” in which children may enter to win a book related toy by checking out picture books will be drawn that day.
