Sean Audley, lifelong resident of Allegheny County and 20 plus year resident of the South Hills, has announced his candidacy for Magisterial District Judge for the communities of Jefferson Hills, Pleasant Hills and South Park. The current District Judge, The Honorable Pat Capolupo, is retiring.

A 1986 graduate of Allegheny College, Audley returned to Pittsburgh where he attended the University of Pittsburgh School of law, receiving his law degree in 1989. He spent the first two years as a lawyer living in Franklin, Pennsylvania, gaining invaluable experience as a Judicial Law Clerk, an Assistant Public Defender and working with a small, local law firm. In 1991, Audley was selected to serve on the Franklin City Council to complete the term of a retiring member.
Audley returned to Pittsburgh and moved to Pleasant Hills in 1992 after meeting his wife, Silvana. They have lived in Pleasant Hills ever since where they have raised their children, daughter Serena, a freshman at Allegheny College, and son John, a senior at Central Catholic High School.
In addition to managing an active law practice for the last twenty years, Audley also served as a judicial law clerk for The Honorable Jeffrey A. Manning, Administrative Judge of Criminal Division of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County.
In his private practice, Audley has represented clients in Magisterial District Courts and Common Pleas Courts throughout Pennsylvania and in appeals before the Pennsylvania Superior Court, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He has also been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He has been regularly appointed by the judges of the Family Division of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County to serve as a guardian ad litem for children who are involved in contentious custody cases. Audley has maintained his law office, Audley Law Offices, P.C., in Pleasant Hills for the last ten years.
On February 12, 2013 Audley was interviewed by the Judiciary Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association to be rated as a possible candidate for Judge of the Court of Common Pleas. The Bar Association has given him the highest rating possible, Highly Recommended.
Despite being honored having received this determination by his peers that he is highly qualified to serve as Judge on the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, Audley stated he decided that he would prefer to serve his local community as a Magisterial District. Judge. “I want to use my experience and talents to give back to the community where I have lived and worked,” he explained.
In addition to his work as an attorney and as a law clerk, Sean has been active in his community, serving, with his wife, Silvana, on the Pleasant Hills Community Day Committee and as Community Day Parade Co-Chairpersons; coaching youth basketball and baseball and sitting as a member, and now Chairman, of the Zoning Hearing Board of Pleasant Hills Borough.
