The Mon Valley YMCA's Youth & Teen Center recently underwent some big renovations. These are the first updates since February 2005, when Youth & Teen Director Adorée DeLuca first opened it.

"We had some lovely "elves" from PNC Bank do a community service project here and ripped out the old carpet, hauled out old couches and chairs and put a fresh new coat of paint on the walls and it looks great!" said Adorée "Our Teen Leaders Club has been painting individual blocks on the walls also. I like the teens to be as much a part of the design as possible and then they feel more ownership of the area." With the addition of a new sectional couch in the TV area, newly painted floor, and study area, there will also be lockers for teens to keep coats and backpacks so they don't have to use the locker rooms.
