The Mon Valley YMCA will hold a lifeguard course on March 2 ,9 ,16 and 23 from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Participants must attend all 4 dates to obtain certification.
Cost is $250 for members and $270 for non-members. Participants are encouraged to bring a snack.
Candidates must be able to swim fluently 300 yards using the four basic strokes and attend all classes. Instruction includes lifeguard, first aid, CPR/AED, oxygen delivery, disease prevention, classroom materials and book.
