Peters Creek Historical Society welcomes Mr. Tom Uram, president of the Washington County Coin Club as its guest speaker, 7:30PM, Monday, September 23 at Wrights United Methodist Church, 788 Venetia Road, Venetia. His topic will explore the fascinating connection between wartime coins and imprinted Morse Code on the reverse side of these coins. What was the message? Is it readily discernable? What did the letter "V" signify? Were the Canadians aware they were carrying a message in their pocket?
