The South Park Historical Society is on a summer break for meetings until the

September 17, 2024, meeting.  Mark your calendar and plan to join us that evening.

Our museum will be open the 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 12 noon – 2:00PM for the public.

You will be amazed at what is on display in the building on Pleasant Street in Library.   Stop in for some local history about mines, schools, tools, weddings, farms and more.

Our last meeting was fantastic.   It featured Honorable Michael McCarthy, who told of his experiences as a SeaBee, and captivated the audience.  We thank him for a delightful, interesting program. It was the 29th  birthday of the group.  Joy Marquis received a proclamation from Judge McCarthy and a gift from the Board.    She retired as President and Steven Tkach is now our leader.  Joy has been titled as President Emeritu.   Congratulations. Joy and Steven!
