The Ruthfred Acres Womans Club is a philanthropic organization dedicated to doing charitable deeds, supporting the needs and efforts of the community along with enriching the lives of our members through social and educational opportunities.   Their newly installed officers are dedicated to continuing the clubs long standing mission.

President Sharon Marchant DeMilo, has planned this year’s theme, “Sharing Our Blessings”, to work with the clubs mission. Sharon has arranged for the club to partner with SHIM, ‘South Hills Interfaith Movement’. This relationship will encompass her theme very well. More details will be available on this year’s effort and projects to help SHIM, during their first meeting on Sept. 10.

Included in the clubs’ mission are its members, and they won’t be forgotten by this year’s board. Monthly socialization opportunities at the clubs’ meetings, along with educational and informational guest speakers, will meet another mission of the club. In the past, meetings have been held at various local businesses. This in our continued effort to support our local community.   This year the meetings will be held at the Bethel Park Historical Society’s’ Schoolhouse Arts & History Center.

New members are welcome to join the club at any time of the year. Joining at the start of a new year, is without a doubt, a great time to Join.  At their first meeting the guest speaker will be Jeffery Deceder, a Magician and Story teller. The program entitled “Fun From Within” sounds like one you don’t want to miss.

If you have been thinking about more ways you could better serve your community, or would like to meet and socialize with women who have similar interests, come join them on Setember 10 at the Bethel Parks Art’s and History Center. If you are interested in membership, send an Email to: rawc1946@gmail.com.
