Thomas Presbyterian Church, located at 1068 Linden Road in Eighty Four, PA will hold its annual Pig Roast and Car Show on Saturday, August 17.  The event starts at 3:00 PM and runs until 7:00 PM. Car registration will start at 2:00 PM.

The car registration fee is $5 and dash plaques will be passed out to the first 120 vehicles registered. The car show will be a judged car event with plaques and trophies awarded.

Attendees will enjoy live music both outside and inside, a basket raffle, and good food. Meal tickets are $15 for those 10 years old and older and $13 for those under 10 years old. A meal ticket includes a sandwich (either pork, hamburger, or hot dog), an ear of corn, baked beans, Cole Slaw, dessert, and a beverage. Some items can also be purchased a la carte.

The proceeds from the event will be donated to Pittsburgh based “Life Changing Service Dogs for Veterans.” This organization matches military veterans living with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, seizure disorders, insulin dependence, and/or mobility issues with trained service dogs. The bond that these service dogs make with these veterans is more than life changing. It is lifesaving.

Event held rain or shine. The beautiful cars may not come out in the rain, but the good food, live music and basket raffle will. For more information contact the church office at 724-941- 8910.
