Enjoy cookies reminiscent of Grandma’s baking!
West Jefferson Hills Historical Society will host an Ethnic Heritage Cookie Crawl fundraiser on Saturday, March 23, at the Jefferson Hills Municipal Building. Proceeds from the event will help to manage and care for local cultural materials in the WJHHS Archive.
Thirteen different cookie varieties, representing an assortment of ethnicities of the Western Pennsylvania area, will be offered. Cultures represented range from Native American to European to South Asian to old-fashioned American favorites. Cookies will be sold in bags of 4 for $5 or a dozen for $12. A special sampler box of all 13 cookies will also be on sale for $12. Sampler and single-flavor dozen boxes must be pre-ordered and will not be available for sale at the Cookie Crawl, although bags of 4 cookies will be available that day.
The Cookie Crawl will be held in the Community Rooms of the Jefferson Hills Municipal Building, 925 Old Clairton Road, Jefferson Hills, PA between 12 noon and 3:00 P.M. Order forms are available at the Jefferson Hills and Pleasant Hills libraries and at www.westjeffersonhillshistoricalsociety.org. Order forms must be received by March 8, 2024 for pre-orders, which are recommended to ensure availability.
