The West Jefferson Hills School District is accepting nominations for the district’s Hall of Fame. The district re-launched its Halls of Fame program last year and this past March, 29 Thomas Jefferson High School graduates and two Jaguar athletic teams were inducted at the Hall of Fame banquet.
Thomas Jefferson High School graduates who have distinguished themselves in the areas of academics, arts or athletics, as well as staff and community members, are eligible for induction, if they meet the established Hall of Fame criteria. Nominees included former students, teachers, staff and community members who have made unique and lasting contributions to the district and the West Elizabeth, Jefferson Hills and Pleasant Hills communities.
Nominations for consideration for the 2024 Hall of Fame class are due by October 31, 2023. The nomination form is available on the district website at: https://www.wjhsd.net/Alumni.aspx. Nomination forms also are available in the district administration office, 830 Old Clairton Road, Jefferson Hills, weekdays from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Nominees who were considered for induction last year will be included with the new nominations for the 2024 Hall of Fame class. The 2024 Hall of Fame induction class will be announced in December and the Hall of Fame banquet will be held in early March (time and location to be announced).
The application for the recently formed WJHSD Alumni Association also is posted at https://www.wjhsd.net/Alumni.aspx or available in the district administration office. Thomas Jefferson graduates and friends of TJ are welcome to join.
