Donated Items Being Accepted Starting April 25
Belle Vernon Public Library is partnering with the Goodwill of SWPa’s Finley Road location in Belle Vernon to host a Donation Drive for the first time since 2019. Goodwill Donations brought to the store on Tuesday, May 3 between 4:00PM – 7:00PM will help the library raise money as well as benefit Goodwill in their mission to help people overcome barriers to employment.
“We are so excited to be able to do this again,” noted library director, Elina Filander. “We had so many people cleaning out closets when they were spending more time at home who would ask and we had to say we couldn’t hold a drive. Now at last we can”
The library will be accepting donated items at the library during the week leading up to the donation day during regular library hours beginning on April 25. Acceptable donations include clothing, handbags, glass and housewares, cooking accessories, musical instruments, sports equipment and toys. Furniture, baby cribs and gates, computers and televisions are among the items that cannot be included in the donation day. A full list of acceptable and unacceptable items is available at the library.
Donated items may be brought to the library located at 505 Speer Street in North Belle Vernon during library hours Monday through Thursday, 10:00AM to 7:3PM., and Saturday 9:00AM to 4:00PM. For more info, contact the library at 724-929-6642.
