Essential Programs and Services Will Continue

Amid growing concerns about COVID-19, the health and safety of our community and staff remains SHIM's highest priority. We will continue to serve our neighbors and protect the most vulnerable among us.

We realize that there are people who will be struggling for food, personal care items and other vital services. Therefore, essential programs such as our three food pantries and utility and financial assistance will continue in a modified capacity. SHIM Center will be closed to the public until further notice and the SHIM Family Center will be closed until April 14.

For detailed information about our modified programs, please visit the website: www.shimcares.org/covid-19-resources.

SHIM's staff will be working remotely and answering calls and emails in a timely manner. If you have any questions, please call our main office at 412-854-9120 and select the extension for the appropriate staff person.

Anyone in need of immediate assistance can contact United Way’s PA 2-1-1 Southwest by dialing 2-1-1, texting your zip code to 898-211, or visiting PA211sw.org.
