The event featured vendors, music, food, a Chinese Auction, children’s activities including bicycle raffles, and Douglas Education Center students did face-painting. A parade was held at 5:30 pm with local police officers, emergency medical services, fire departments and school cheerleaders.

“Mon Valley National Night Out recognizes the law enforcement and first responders in an effort to build relationships between the community, first responders and law enforcement,” said Diane Chopyak, Executive Assistant Westmoreland Drug and Alcohol Commission in Monessen.
