Dear Editor,

I want to thank everyone who has advocated and are working to improve South Park, the County Park.

The Green Walls at the South Park Fairgrounds Oval are being replaced

Wonderful additions and changes are happening in South Park, the County Park. The latest huge happening now in the County Park is the replacement of the Green Walls at the Fairgrounds Oval, a pet peeve of mine. The eyesore Green Walls are being replaced thanks to the efforts of the Friends of South Park the County Park, lead by Chair Sharon Adams and members of the Council of Friends, County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, County Parks Chairman John Palmierie, County Manager Willie McKain, Parks Director Andy Baechle, the Park's Foundation, and all of those that participated in the Public Hearings to develop the Fairgrounds Master Plan in 2011.

Please use the following link to gain information on the Fairgrounds Master Plan:

Also, visit www.southparkfriends.org for information on the Friends of South Park, the County Park .
Thanks again to all that volunteer to make things better in South Park.

Sincerely,

Dave Buchewicz
Member of Project Team for the Fairgrounds Master Plan.
