On hand at the event were plenty of motorcycles, classic cars, music, food, Chinese Auctions, jewelry, and more!
The day kicked off at 10:00 am with a Bike Run of approximately 100 miles. The Bike Run had a $20 registration fee and additional $15 fee for each passenger and included dinner at end of ride. Proceeds from the Bike Run benefitted the Belle Vernon and North Belle Vernon Fire Departments.
At 1:00 pm ‘DJ EEsh’, aka Alicia Delmastro, began spinning old rock tunes, followed by live bands that began at 2:30 pm. A Car Show was later held at 4:00 pm, and there were plenty of vendors on hand on Broad St., indoors and out, to add to the excitement.
Event Organizer Joe Minniti of Minniti Motorsports in Belle Vernon said he has been running the annual Block Party event for the last six years with the proceeds going toward the NBV Fire Department. “This year we decided to raise funds for both the Belle Vernon and North Belle Vernon Fire Departments,” said Minniti. He added “In previous years, we (the committee) were Mon Valley Motorcycle Club and donated to different charities each year.”
