The Monongahela Area Historical Society (MAHS) monthly meeting will be on Wednesday, November 28, at 7:00 PM.
We will meet in the Chapel of the 1st Presbyterian Church, 609 Chess Street, Monongahela, PA 15063. The brief members-only business meeting at 6:30 PM will precede the historical presentation: "Rails To The Mon: The Donora Branch of the Pittsburgh & West Virginia Railway Co," by Jimmy Braum. Free and Open to the Public.
Wedding Cookie Table College!
November 11, 2018, 1-4 PM, Meadowlands Hilton, (I-79). Wedding Cookie College is live through Eventbrite. The cost is $25 per person plus transaction fees. Twenty five tickets will be held for those who prefer to mail a $25 check to: MAHS, 826 Lawrence Street, Monongahela, PA 15063. For more information, please call 724 258 6432. A limited number of Veterans can attend for free.
Take a Tour of the Monongahela Historic District
Self-Guided Walking Tour of Monongahela Historic District are available at your leisure. Stop by the museum and pick up a brochure from the box on the outside of the front door and do our self guided walking tour. There are 22 historic locations to visit along the way. Brochures are available in the MAHS Museum outside doorway in the covered brochure holder. Smartphone technology incorporated into the tour includes video and narration for each location. All you need is your smartphone.
