The Friends of South Park are happy to announce that they will continue the American flag program next year because of the overwhelming response.

They had a successful flag dedication throughout the summer thanks to the patron’s who purchased individual flags for $5. Each of the individual flags were labeled with the name of a veteran, a living or deceased family member, a friend or pet. Flags were displayed four times this year and garnered great responses and accolades from the community.

Any patron who would like to have their flag may take it from the oval (center of Corrigan drive) anytime after Veteran’s Day on November 11 and up to November 17 when we will be removing and retiring the flags at 10:00 am. If you cannot get to your flag during that timeframe and would like keep it, please e-mail madam chairperson, Sharon Adams for arrangements at Sadams6528@verizon.net.

Thank you for supporting all of the events sponsored by the “Friends of South Park, the County Park.” Visit our website for more information at www.southparkfriends.org.
