Mon Valley Workforce Forum

The Mon Valley Workforce Forum, which focused on the trades industry was held at the Mon Valley Career and Technology Center in Charleroi. The focus was to initiate connections while learning about education/employment opportunities, and resources in the manufacturing and building trades.

Over 90 attendees heard about apprenticeship opportunities, career pathways, the needs of our education community, and the skill sets needed by our local employers. Ductmate Industries, Corelle Brands, Beistel Machining, Keystone Education Partnership and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union #5 were all part of a panel discussion.

The event was sponsored by the Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce, Pennsylvania Career Link-Mon Valley, Southwest Training Services, Inc., Southwest Corner Workforce Development Board, Mon Valley Alliance, Mon Valley Initiative, and NAACP #2274 Mon Valley.
