Volunteers using a rented excavator to place stone to protect the stream bank near the Ravensburg Bridge (MP45.8) from erosion.

The stream bank protection required more than 600 tons of stone. On September 14 a paving contractor began work to replace 750 feet of damaged asphalt trail surface between Large and Clairton.
