CANCER affects all of God’s creatures including our beloved four-legged, furry family members. In light of this, there is going to be a Puppyup Cancer Foundation walk held in Monessen, on Sunday October 14.

The walk is being held at the Monessen City Park Walking Track from 10:30 AM until 3:3 0PM. Pre-registration is $20 and walk-up registration is $25 on the day of the event. You can preregister and obtain additional information at the foundation website: https://puppyupwalk.org/monessen/. There will be numerous vendors on hand with their wares that include our canine wants and needs as well as other generalized products.

There are also many other events planned for the day including: DJ, Food & Drinks, Basket Auction, 50/50 raffle, Airbrush Portrait Raffle, Dog Contest, Photo Booth, Cool Zone and a Pet Blessing conducted by Father Mike Crookston of the Epiphany of Our Lord Church.

The Puppyup Foundation distributes collected funds, in the form of grants, to cancer research programs nationwide. A few of which are the University of Pennsylvania, Ohio State University, Princeton, Harvard and Purdue University. Please visit the website to register, donate, volunteer, become a sponsor or a vendor.
