The Monongahela Area Historical Society (MAHS) is offering its Self-Guided Walking Tour of the Monongahela Historic District for August, and our Fall Schedule is beginning to fill-out. Details about these activities can be found below.

 Self-Guided Walking Tour of Monongahela Historic District

Available at your leisure. Stop by the museum and pick up a brochure from the box on the outside of the front door and do our self guided walking tour. There are 22 historic locations to visit along the way. Brochures are available in the MAHS Museum outside doorway in the covered brochure holder. Smartphone technology incorporated into the tour includes video and narration for each location. All you need is your smartphone.

  • October 19, 2018 – ‘Murder Mystery Dinner’ - The Captain's Last Descent: The time was the early 1900's, Monongahela riverboat captain, David Longwell, fell down his cellar steps one night, broke his neck, and died instantly! Was it really an accident as initially ruled by the coroner, or was he pushed by the hands of a cold-blooded murderer as suspected by Monongahela's own Sherlock Holmes, Chief of Police Leo Logan?
