The McKeesport Regional History and Heritage Center is hosting a special traveling exhibit titled "We Can Do It: WWII." This exhibit was created by the Senator John Heinz History Center and explores Western Pennsylvania’s incredible impact on the home, industrial, and battle fronts during World War II.
Visitors to the exhibit will learn about the development of the jeep, a uniquely American invention produced by the American Bantam Car Company in Butler, PA and will hear the stories behind Rosie the Riveter and the local Tuskegee Airmen whose contributions helped to turn the tide of the war.
The exhibit will run at the McKeesport Regional History and Heritage Center through March 20, 2018. We are open each week Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. -3 p.m. Our museum has no admission fee, though donations are always appreciated. We are located at 1832 Arboretum Drive, McKeesport. Please call us at 412-678-1832 with any questions, or visit our website at www.mckeesportheritage.org.
