Range Resources is a leading U.S. independent oil and natural gas producer, with a division office in Southpointe. Range Resources’ philosophy is straightforward: to be good stewards for their shareholders, while doing the same thing for the environment and the communities in which they live and work. Their commitment to educating and training local first responders is just one example of their dedication to performing in a manner that reflects their own high expectations for community engagement and always meeting or going beyond regulatory requirements.

“Range is committed to supporting causes and organizations that are important to our community. We are excited to announce the Range Resources Good Neighbors Fund in partnership with the Washington County Community Foundation. This fund will assist local fire departments and emergency management services organizations in our core operating area,” remarked Dennis Degner, Range Resources Appalachia Division Vice President. “First responders provide critical services to the communities they serve, and we want to support their continued success.”

On February 1, organizations interested in applying to the Range Resources Good Neighbors Fund will be able to submit their requests electronically using the Foundation’s online grant application form available on www.wccf.net. Requests should be limited to $10,000. Grants will be announced in the second quarter.

“We applaud Range Resources for their generosity in establishing this fund, and look forward to working with its management team to issue grants that will have the greatest impact in our community,” said Betsie Trew, President & CEO of the Washington County Community Foundation.
