Pennsylvania Trolley Museum’s stockings are hung by the trolleys with care with the knowledge that Santa Claus will soon be there! , The merriest man himself will be visiting the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum during their annual Santa Trolley.

SantaTrolley 2017
Santa heading for the Trolley Museum

Visit the museum during November 24-26, December 2-3, 9-10 and 16-17 for this spectacular event that runs from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. with the last trolley departing at 4 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to climb aboard a restored streetcar that will transport them on the Museum’s 2-mile ride. While aboard, visitors will get to meet Santa Claus and a few of his friends may show up as well! Santa will be happy to have visitors take his picture, so make sure you remember to bring your camera.

Your camera will also come in handy when you stop by the museum’s large Lionel toy train layout. Enjoy the beautiful Christmas village of Department 56 collectible buildings. This beautiful display was donated and displayed in memory of Mary C. Brown by her twin granddaughters, Sara and Jessi Shoemaker. These beautiful porcelain buildings and accessories brought a lot of joy to Brown’s life and the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum is proud to continue her display tradition with their large Lionel toy train layout.

In the Museum’s event room, you will get to view the wonderful LEGO layout built by Steel City Lug, Pittsburgh Area’s Adult LEGO User Group. The holiday spirit will be all throughout the air and your bellies will be filled with complimentary hot chocolate and cookies. After eating your snacks, kids can make a great holiday craft to remember their visit!

Admission for the Santa Trolley is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (62+) and $10 for children ages 1-15; children under 1 are free. This admission will include your trip on the Santa Trolley and the open exhibits. Admission includes trips on the Yuletide shuttle. The Yuletide shuttle takes guests on the 2-mile roundtrip ride where the crew and guests have holiday fun.

This event is very popular and we do suggest advance ticket purchases be made online due to the limited seating. The tickets can be purchased on the museum’s website at www.patrolley.org. Once you follow that link, you will click on the Santa Trolley button and it will take you to ShowClix.com. Tickets are on sale now!
